Global Competition Review (GCR) has recognised Marianne Wagener, South African Head of Antitrust and Competition at Deneys, in the 2025 edition of Women in Antitrust.

Published approximately every four years, this edition highlights leading female private practitioners, in-house counsel, economists and academics from across the competition law field.

GCR’s Women in Antitrust initiative is intended to elevate and champion women in the competition profession. In profiling those selected, GCR notes that each individual stands out not only for professional achievement, but also for their influence on colleagues and the broader competition law community.

Marianne’s inclusion reflects the strength and standing of Deneys South African antitrust and competition practice, as well as her leadership within the market.
